JAMES “JIMMY” MCDONALD

On the morning of Wednesday, May 1, 2024, James “Jimmy” McDonald, aged 70, left us to be with our Lord. He was born to George and Grace McDonald on November 9, 1953.
Jimmy retired from Mississippi Wildlife Fisheries and Parks after 25 years of service. He was an avid outdoorsman whose passions were hunting and fishing.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his father, George and his mother Grace. He is survived by his wife, Susie; his daughters, Aletha Merwin and Jamie Bennett; stepdaughter, Magon Wilson; brother Robert “Bobby” McDonald; sister Carolyn Houston; granddaughters, Caden Bennett and Amelia Sharpe; step-grandson Keegan Sharpe; step-granddaughter Chloe Sharpe; step-great granddaughter, Luna Mae Sharpe.
Funeral services were held at Southern Funeral Home in Lexington, MS at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 5, 2024. Visitation was held at 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm.
