BARBARA J. PETTIS ESTES

Barbara J. Estes, 82, of Yazoo City, Mississippi, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at home with her family by her side.
A celebration of life will be held after the new year. Stricklin King Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Mrs. Estes was born on August 22, 1942. She lived in Tchula, MS most of her life and retired from the U.S. Postal Service. She was a very fun-loving, kind person, a wonderful cook, and a talented seamstress. She was preceded in death by husband Ira Wood Estes, Jr.; parents, E. C. Pettis and Robbie Lillian Porch.
She is survived by her daughter Robbie Ellis of Yazoo City; her son Doug (Jennifer) Ellis of Yazoo City; three grandchildren, Jason Corley, Kyle Corley, Cole Estes; five great grandchildren; and sister Nadine Marshall of Lexington.
