EDNA WARRENE WHITE

Edna Warrene White, 94, of Ebenezer, MS went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, April 21, 2025.
Warrene was born on July 21, 1930 in Yazoo County to Buster and Bessie White. She was happily married to Wilburn Ellis White for 76 years. She worked for the Holmes County Superintendent of Education, Holmes County Chancery Clerk’s office, the Humphrey/O’Reilly Company for many years and spent the remainder of her life as a dedicated homemaker.
Warrene spent much of her time watching her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren participate in sports and 4-H. She liked to cook for her family, church and friends, and absolutely loved Mississippi State Baseball.
Warrene was a longtime member of Ebenezer Baptist Church where she served for many years and loved her church family.
She is preceded in death by her parents; son Wilburn E. White, Jr. (Buster); sister Sadie Luby; and brothers, Louie White and Luther White.
Warrene is survived by her husband Wilburn Ellis White; sister Sylvia Netherland; daughters, Dianne Sumrall and Patty (Mike) Hood; son Paul (Kathy) White; daughter-in-law Cindy White; grandchildren, Randi (Steven) Edwards, Lance (Mary Katherine) White, Michael Hood, Matthew (Melissa) White, Reid (Anna) Sumrall, Paul (Amanda) White, Jr., Patrick (Brandy) White, Landon (Rebecca) Hood; Great Grandchildren, Ana-Claire, Eryca (Andrew), Pearce (Jada), Gibbs, Kate, Tripp, Miles, Alana, Matthew White, Jr. (MJ), Cooper, John Landon, Davis, Mary Ellis, and Whitt.
Pallbearers included: Grandsons, Lance White, Michael Hood, Matthew White, Reid Sumrall, Paul White, Jr., Patrick White, and Landon Hood.
Honorary Pallbearers were Steven Edwards, Pearce Edwards, Andrew Gilmore.
Visitation was held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 25th, at Ebenezer Baptist Church. The service followed at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ebenezer Baptist Church, 3529 Ebenezer Rd., Lexington, MS 39095.
