Madeline Grace Gallagher, 20, of Durant, MS went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, May 12, 2016.
Madeline excelled in softball as a child. Her passion was animals, especially horses. Greg and Betty Bermond of Bermond Performance Horses in Kosciusko took Maddy under their wing. They saw her natural gift and love of horses. They nurtured her desire and Maddy went on to place in the State Championships in Western Pleasure.
Maddy was a beautiful, free spirited, loving person. She was fiercely devoted to her brother Bryan, her family and fiance Kentwain Mosley.
She is survived by her mother Shannon Gallagher; brother Bryan Gallagher; grandmother Wanda Gallagher of Kilmichael, MS; fiance Kentwain Mosley; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather John L. Gallagher.
Visitation was held at Southern Funeral Home Chapel in Durant from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 15. Funeral services were held on Monday, May 16 at Immanuel Church of God in Durant at 10:00 a.m. Interment was held at Brister Cemetery in West, MS. Rev. Will Lott and Rev. Joel Smith officiated the services.
Pallbearers were the officers of the Durant Police Department, deputies of the Holmes County Sheriff Department and volunteer firemen of the Durant Fire Department.
