MILDRED WINSTEAD

Mildred Christine Chisolm (Bill) Winstead went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, July 23, at the age of 93.
She is preceded in death by her husband Willie Warren Winstead; daughter Brenda Hathcock; daughter-in-law Dorinda Winstead; two sons-in-law, Roy Spell and Wayne Hodges; granddaughter Kaye Wigley Mathis; great granddaughter Katelyn Winstead; great-grandson Matthew Hodges; her parents, Robert and Mattie Chisolm; sister Audrey Cheatham; and brother Murray Chisolm.
She was a founding member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Tolarsville where she served as clerk, Sunday School teacher, Lord’s Supper coordinator and served wherever she was needed. She loved to make quilts for her family and she was well known for the many meals she prepared for her family and her church.
She is survived by her children: Barbara Spell, Peggy Wigley (David), Paul H. Winstead (Gwen), Janet Hynum (Gage), Allen Winstead (Cindy); son-in-law George Hathcock; sister Doris Kuhn; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, July 26 at Oak Grove Baptist Church with visitation at 10:00, service at 11:00 and interment in the Coxburg Community Cemetery. Bro. Marvin Curtis officiated.
Pallbearers were: Paul Warren Winstead, Michael Hodges, Shane Draughn, Alexis Arendar, Ricky Winstead, Jr. and Rob Ashley.
