JOHN WILLIAM SELF

John William Self, 88, of Lexington, Miss passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2024 at Mississippi State Veterans Home in Kosciusko, Miss.
John served 10 years in the Armed Forces of U. S Army and then was foreman for the Holmes County Beat II road crew. He was preceded in death by his parents Ruphus and Ola McBride Self, his brother Noel Self, and his wife Erika Self.
John is survived by his sons Mike and his wife Diane Self of Monticello, Ark, and their children, Erin Self (Jacob) Moon and Lane (Jordan) Self, James Self of Lexington, MS and his daughter Brittany (Ashley) Davidson and son Wade Self. He is also survived by his daughter Patty Self of Philadelphia, MS and her son Patrick (Savannah) Self, John is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. from the Mortimer-Southern Funeral Home in Lexington.
