LILLA LOUISE “EE” ELLIOTT HUTTON

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lilla Louise “EE” Elliott Hutton, who passed away peacefully at home on April 30, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. She was born on November 16, 1942, in Sidon, MS, to Guy Ray and Helen Comstock Elliott. Her father passed when she was a small child and her mother married Robert Daves and the family moved to Greenwood where she spent the rest of her youth. She graduated from Delta State University in 1964 and soon after met her husband, James Buchanan Hutton, III. They were married November 24, 1965, and lived in Tchula, MS, for the remainder of their lives.
She was an active member of Tchula Presbyterian Church and loved spending time with her family and friends. She was affectionately known as “EE” to any child that knew her and she loved them all like they were her own. Her ability to make children fall in love with her is accounted to her stature making her very close to their size and being a child at heart herself.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years James Buchanan Hutton, III; father Guy Ray Elliott; mother Helen Comstock Elliott Daves; step-father Robert Daves; brother Charles Patrick Elliott; and sister Helen Grace Baker.
She is survived by her sons, James Buchanan Hutton, IV (Rachel), Robert Elliott Hutton (Traci), William Dobyns Hutton (Shauna); brother Guy Ray “Mike” Elliott, Jr. (Patricia);10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
